Living Responsibly… It’s Only Natural!

Sheryl Eaglewoman

Welcome! This week we have chosen to consider the daring subject of "intention – attention" and how these focus points affect the results we desire to come forth in our lives. First, let’s define the premise of intention. The obvious is that you "intend" some thing or direction. By intending to do something, you create an energetic movement. This means you have created movement in the universe directed at a specific cause or means. The universe listens, really. So, what are your intentions? Do you intend to live better, be better, "make do" better? Any of the above? All of the above? So, what are the rules of showing intent? There’s only one really. Be Clear! No mixed messages. And here is the stress point for many a person; one must be honest with themselves to be clear to the universe. Truth is the basis of clarity.

What about attention? Why does the universe require "our attention" to manifest our desires? Because it is what you focus on that you bring into your life. And the amount of time and attention you give to an idea or project or lifestyle, etc. will show your depth of concern. Do you walk your talk? Do you mean what you say when you say it? I’m sure most of us have heard the old saying, "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions." I’ve said it myself. My theory on this is, it’s not the good intentions that are paving our way to Hell; it’s the lack of follow through experienced by the majority of us. Lack of follow through, lack of attention, it’s the same. The focus withers. The results wither. It’s that simple.

So, you intend to live better. Great! Be specific. Does that mean in a cabin somewhere in the remote hills of Montana? Or does it mean to eat only organic? You tell me. Your better is your better. You know best. Once you can see that "intended future" in you mind, hold fast to it. Give it constant attention so that it will grow to become a reality.

So, you intend to be better? Again, it is a must to be specific. Do you want to be less bitter, happier, show more love? Do you want to lose weight, exercise more, learn to cook, read more? Again, you must be honest with yourself to come to the best conclusions. It isn’t always easy. Ask me how I know…

How do we get there? How do we decide our life’s choices? We ask our heart. Then we ask our intellect. Can they agree; the heart and the intellect? If so, I would consider the "choice" a life supporting one and follow my dream. If not, I would look at other options, as well as whether or not I was being totally honest with myself in regards to the issue. Is this your dream or one someone told you to have? Only you can truly determine that. So, first, we determine our intentions. Then, we give diligent attention to attracting those dreams and goals to us. It may be by studying to make the grades for that sought after diploma. It may be by manifesting the time to write the book that is waiting to be introduced to the world. It may be by expressing your love to those you care for, not waiting for them to share their feelings, or not.

For me, the major key is in being able to "see" what it is you want in your mind’s eye. Want a new truck? See it happen. See yourself in one, just like the one you want. Want a true love in your life? Be one. Put it out there. Scream to the universe if you like, but be specific…always. Make a wish list and put it where you can see it every day. Hang a picture of that new bike on your fridge.

And now, the polite critique. If we say we are going to do something, we need to follow through. As they say, "Talk don’t cook the rice." Tell someone you would call soon? Call them. Did you tell yourself you would take that longed for vacation? Take it, for crying out loud! Now is the only time there is. And we’ll feel better! The reason being, we will have spoken and manifested truth, we have achieved a moment of clarity. Hallelujah!

Decide it. Intend it. Attend it. Live it!
